Valentine Cookie Decorating Party
This we held a Cookie Decorating Party at my church. Once a month we gather as women to learn, socialize, serve and sometimes just have fun. This month it was all about sugar, sprinkles and love. Aside from decorating cookies each women was given a name tag and assigned a number. Then each women was asked to write an anonymous compliment about all the other women present. At the end of the evening each women was able to take home a stack of compliments about herself.
When I arrived home I was eager to read my stack of compliments. Some made me laugh: "you have a cute baby" while others flattered me: "you are my goal for dressing perfection" or "you are so talented I can hardly stand it" and some tugged at my heart like "you bring beauty to everything you do" or "you have become an amazing mom" Although the task was quite simple I am hoping these compliments will have a lasting positive effect on all the women who were present. It isn't often you hear such lovely things said by your peers, so I hope these strips of paper act as proof that even though people rarely take the opportunity to compliment, they are thinking kind things nonetheless. Let's take this Valentine's Day as the perfect opportunity to compliment and send love to all the women we love in our life. Heaven knows we all could use a little more encouragement.
