Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

In the past, we have always walked on the ferry to go to Friday Harbor for the day. It wasn't until recently we have taken our car to San Juan Island. By having a car we have been able to go farther afield and do a lot more exploring. There is a whole lot more to see on San Juan Island than the gift shops and restaurants of Friday Harbor. Some of our favorite places to explore are the following:

Hiking around Cattle Point

Taking random country roads

Eating dinner at Duck Soup Inn

Whale watching from Lime Kiln Lighthouse

Spending an afternoon in Roche Harbor

Going on a kayak trip with San Juan Island Outfitters

Visiting Pelindaba Lavender Farm

Taking the evening ferry back to Anacortes and witnessing a spectacular sunset
