A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Many Glacier

One of our favorite areas of Glacier National Park is Many Glacier. We love the steep craggy peaks, the beautiful hotel which resides on the shore of Swiftcurrent Lake and the numerous hiking trails which abound in the area. Many Glacier is on the eastern side of Glacier National Park and since it is a little harder to get to, there are fewer crowds here than at Lake MacDonald.

Although we have never taken the red Jammers, they look like a fun and informative alternative to driving the Going to the Sun Road

In order to get to one of our favorite hikes- Grinnell Glacier trailhead you can either hike around or take a boat across Swiftcurrent Lake and then another boat across Lake Josephine. Taking a boat across these two lakes not only saves time, but being able to spot bears and moose from the boat are some of our favorite memories of our time spent in Many Glacier.

A stop for huckleberry soft serve is an important part of our visit to Many Glacier. This year Jasper tried it out for the first time and he loved it!

Whether we camp or not we always like to eat dinner at the Many Glacier hotel. After a long day of hiking it is nice to be able to eat a meal on a white tablecloth in a beautiful rustic setting. A couple years ago the Many Glacier hotel underwent an extensive remodel and the restaurant received a major overhaul.

Past visits include hiking, camping and adventuring in Glacier National Park.
