A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Pumpkin Patch and a walk through the Arboretum

Pumpkin Patch and a walk through the Arboretum

For the past few weeks Seattle has been shrouded in a thick blanket of fog. As a native to the Pacific Northwest, I am used to the rain and grey skies, but this fog is really a novelty. On one particularly crisp and foggy Fall day we set out for the pumpkin patch to pick up some larger carving pumpkins. As we approached the path we were totally in horror as we witnessed throngs of people swarming the patch. After selecting a few little pumpkins which would not require weighing, we quickly retreated. We ended the day with a quiet stroll through the Arboretum, a little leaf peeping and acorn collecting. Fighting crowds is not my speed, well not until Black Friday that is.

The University of Washington Botanic Gardens are really a hidden gem in Seattle. Many people never take the time to explore this large area. We really enjoy the Foster Island trailhead which snakes it way long Lake Washington and into Union Bay. The Japanese Gardens are a beautiful place to visit this time of year too.
