Familiar blues and grays

When the sun comes out in Seattle we all shout its praises. However, when it is raining outside we often overlook how beautiful it is in its own right. Here are some images from a day trip we took earlier this month when the rain came pouring down all day long and every vista looked like a muted watercolor. 

Weather seems to be a lot like life, whatever we have in excess we often take for granted. 

Rain or shine, the following places are great for little weekend day trips: spend the night in a tree house, take a drive up to Bow-Edison, or drive somewhere just for a good meal.
