Washington State Fair Part Two
We had not intended to go back to the fair again so soon, but the way this guy lights up when he rides around on those cheesy fair rides was just too much goodness to pass up. We just could not resist another night of endless smiles and giggles from our little guy. Our plan of attack for the night was simple: eat a scone, let Jasper ride as many rides as he wants or until our ride card was empty and then finish the night with an ice cream cone. There are so many other interesting things at the fair other than rides and food, but we kept it simple and we all seemed to have a great time.
From the moment we returned to the fair Jasper repeatedly told us he wanted to go and look at the books. Want to ride a ride? Go look at books. Want to get ice cream? Go look at books. What a guy! Who needs sugar and over stimulation when you can read books instead?! I am happy to report we made certain to end the night with another trip to the Usborne booth where we picked up a variety of books on trucks and science. I am so proud of my little transportation obsessed book worm. We decided early on if there is one thing we are going to spoil him with it will be books and it looks like this philosophy has paid off.
Whenever Jasper got behind the wheel of a car he was impatient for the ride to start. In his mind I think he was really driving each and every car.
So many lights and sounds at the fair. Jasper is a man of detail so I am certain he was trying to figure out how each and every ride worked.
Before I know it this will be Jasper's future. Driving off with a car full of girls with a little smirk on his face. Oh man! I am in for trouble.
