Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

Mar 22 University of Washington cherry blossoms

Each Spring, we like to visit the University of Washington campus to see the cherry blossoms. It has been a tradition of our family for quite some time now and each year they do not disappoint. We never quite know when they are going to be in full bloom, so we make it a point to check the University's twitter feed and then give it our best shot. Although Jasper does not fully appreciate the beauty of the trees, that does not mean the importance of the campus is lost on him. If you ask him he will tell you this is where his Mommy went as a teeny tiny baby. I find this thought so endearing I do not have the heart to tell him I wasn't really a baby when I attended here....but then again as more and more time passes I guess I was.
