A European adventure
Hello again!
I must apologize for the silence this past week on the blog. We just returned from a two week trip around Europe. Preparing for a trip is a time consuming endeavor. Between making certain all my plants were watered, the refrigerator was emptied and trying to tie up loose ends this blog ended up being neglected. But I am back, reenergized (despite jet lag) and ready to share with you all the many places we went, experiences we had and of course many, many photos. Over the past two weeks we have spent time in Iceland, Amsterdam and Paris. Each place was so unique and our time there will have a special place in my heart.
On the first day of our trip after being up all night flying, the route we had chosen to take to get to our hotel the road was closed. If that was not frustrating enough it was promptly followed by finding myself throwing up in the car. Thank heavens for ziplock bags and maps, but more importantly being seasoned enough travels to know things could only improve from there!
As I sift through the countless photos I took and the loads of laundry which resulted from our time away I am feeling a strong sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the ability to travel, for the investment it is to our marriage and to our world perspective. I like to think my time away from my normal routine results in an increased appreciation for what I have and the daily life I live.
